DevSecOps
Security is not a phase - it's a practice.
DevSecOps integrates security into every stage of your software development lifecycle. Instead of treating security as an afterthought or a gate before release, we embed automated security checks, vulnerability scanning, and compliance validation directly into your CI/CD pipelines.
Our DevSecOps consultants work with your development and operations teams to create security roadmaps, select the right tools, and establish processes that catch vulnerabilities early - when they are cheapest and easiest to fix.
From static code analysis (SAST) to dynamic testing (DAST), container image scanning, and secret management, we build a comprehensive security layer that protects your applications without slowing down your developers.
How DevSecOps Works in Practice
Security testing that happens once a quarter, after the code is written, finds problems when they are most expensive to fix. DevSecOps moves that testing into the pipeline so every commit is checked for known vulnerable dependencies, insecure code patterns, exposed secrets and misconfigured infrastructure before it reaches a shared environment.
The hard part is not the tooling. It is choosing checks that developers trust, tuning them so they do not drown the team in false positives, and deciding which findings block a build and which are tracked for later. We have done this for teams shipping several times a day and for teams under ISO 27001 and SOC 2 audit, and the balance is different in each case.
We work with commercial platforms such as Klocwork, Checkmarx and Mend.io, which we also license and support, and with open-source tools such as Semgrep, Trivy, OWASP ZAP and Checkov. The recommendation depends on your languages, your compliance obligations and your budget.
Our DevSecOps Process
Every engagement follows the same six steps, scoped to your size and your goals, so you always know what happens next and what you will receive.
- 01
Security maturity assessment
We review your SDLC, existing tools, past findings and compliance requirements, then score you against a DevSecOps maturity model with a clear path to the next level.
- 02
Tool selection and pilot
We shortlist SAST, SCA, secret scanning, container and infrastructure scanners, and pilot them on one real repository so you can see signal-to-noise before committing.
- 03
Pipeline integration
Scanners run on pull requests and main-branch builds with results posted where developers already look. Blocking policies start conservative and tighten as the backlog clears.
- 04
Secrets and supply chain
Hard-coded credentials are moved to a vault, images are signed, an SBOM is generated per build, and dependency updates are automated.
- 05
Security champions
One developer per team is trained to triage findings and own remediation, so security scales with the organisation instead of with our engagement.
- 06
Metrics and continuous improvement
Mean time to remediate, findings per release and scanner coverage are reported monthly, and policies are reviewed against them.

DevSecOps Questions, Answered
Will security scanning slow down our releases?
Not if it is set up properly. Incremental scans on pull requests run in minutes, full scans run on a schedule, and only a small, agreed set of severities blocks a merge. Teams usually release faster afterwards because fewer defects reach late-stage testing.
What is the difference between DevSecOps and VAPT?
DevSecOps is continuous and automated, catching classes of vulnerability every time code changes. VAPT is a periodic, manual, attacker-style assessment that finds logic flaws automated tools miss. Mature teams use both, and we offer both.
Do you support on-premise or air-gapped pipelines?
Yes. Several of the platforms we license, including Klocwork and Checkmarx, run fully on-premise, and we have delivered pipelines with no outbound internet access for regulated clients.
Which languages and frameworks are covered?
Java, C, C++, C#, Python, JavaScript and TypeScript, Go, Kotlin and Swift are all covered by the scanners we deploy. If you use something less common, we confirm coverage during the pilot.
Does this help with ISO 27001 or SOC 2?
Directly. Automated scanning, documented policies, evidence of remediation and change control are controls auditors ask for. Our compliance team maps the pipeline evidence to the specific clauses you are audited against.
