How the estimate is calculated
The calculator takes your monthly deployment count, engineering team size, average engineer salary and the hours each deployment currently consumes. It assumes two engineers are involved in a manual deployment and that automation cuts deployment time by around eighty percent while letting the team deploy about three times as often, which is in line with what we see after a typical CI/CD implementation.
The result is an estimate of annual cost savings and engineering hours recovered. It does not include the value of faster feature delivery, fewer failed releases or reduced downtime, which are usually larger than the direct labour saving. Treat it as a starting point for a conversation, not a quotation.
